Halloween finally came and went! WHEW! We started the off with making spider cookies and taking them to dad at work - he really enjoyed seeing the kids all dressed up to visit him! Then we stopped by Granny Great's and delivered her some spider cookies and showed off Nate and Bryn and their fun costumes. Granny was grateful and very happy. She looked very festive and gave the kids some yummy treats. Then we went home for lunch and Bryn's nap, then we were off to Grammies for the Lewis gathering and pizza. It was fun to see all of the cousins and their costumes. Finally we headed home to meet up with dad and head out the door to go trick-or-treating. Our little Butterfly (Bryn) and Transformer (Nate) were a BLAST! They were so entertaining! We laughed all night. Bryn had no idea what was going to take place as she went from door-to-door. Once we convinced her and she saw what her brother was getting when he said, "trick-or-treat", she was all over it! "Treat!" "Treat!" she said. Eventually she got furious if we skipped a house that had no lights on! She is a major sweet tooth! She had a perma grin once we got going...it was awesome. Nate was such a big help and loved every second of the day and night! They got a ton of treats - the cutest thing was their willingness to share their treats with each other - I loved it! After we closed out our neighborhood, we headed back out to Bloomington to the big street party. We enjoyed chili, breadsticks, root beer and of course a haunted house and street movie. It was a fun way to polish up the night. After all of that we ended up at Grampy & Grammies! We had a great night and I know the kids enjoyed absolutely every second!
