We had a nice Memorial Day and a lot of fun with our kids. One of the things we did was go to Uncle Heber's grave. It was neat for the kids to get a little better understanding of where his spirit is and where his body is. Bryn had a hard time understanding why she couldn't see Uncle Heber or give him a hug. She just kept putting her arms in the air and saying, "where's Uncle Heber? ...he not here, mom. He not here." as she was shaking her head, no. Nate explained to her as obviously Chris and I did. It was a neat experience. We added the red wreath to the other flowers there - his grave looked very nice. I think it was good for Chris to see everything again and to recall some memories of Uncle Heber.

The kids remebered Uncle Heber and what a nice and caring man he was. It was also good for Nate to see everything again. He did really good with it all. We didn't get a chance to visit our other grandparents in Kanab and Fredonia on Memorial Day, but we remember them and we will go see them very soon. At least my parents were able to go put out flowers on all of their graves. That's what family is all about!

It's kinda tricky teaching kids about death, huh? Thank goodness for the plan of salvation, though.
